Managed the design and pricing/coding of budgeted projects for Verizon (fBA and fGTE) in New Castle, PA and Erie, PA. Utilized the Customer Service Area (CSA) plan. Adhered to the fBA and fGTE corporate guidelines, NESC guidelines and PA DOT guidelines.

·               Designed upgrades to the network; (9) remote terminal (RT) placements for fBA, upgrades to (6) existing RT sites to provide HSI/DSL for fBA, (2) fiber to cell site projects for fBA, (1) RT placement for fGTE, (2) fiber to cell site projects for fGTE

·               Development the CSA for each one of the RT placement projects.

·               Provided documents for required state, railroad and municipal permits.

·               Prepared and submitted necessary make-ready documents to other utilities.

Responsible for managing baseline budget and OSP Network Engineering functions for maintaining integrity of 7 telephone exchanges in Mercer County, PA.

·             Responded yearly to corporate directive to reduce costs, by meeting or exceeding objectives set for controlling plug-in control system (pics) estimate(84.1% of allotted dollars), individual expense to capital ratio(objective:22.1%, achieved 21.9%), district reuse(140.8% of objective), district retirements(118.1% of objective).

·            Designed and issued plans to construction that deployed HSI/DSL technology into the network and completed the documentation that “loop qualified” the pairs. Starting in 2003 and continuing into 2008, integral part of team (project management, planning, engineering and construction) that completed “loop qualifications” for 56,160 lines in (5) exchanges in Mercer County, PA. Departmental Recognition Award for Chapter 30 Initiative (HSI/DSL) in 2004. Corporate objectives were “results achieved” for revenue generation.

Senior Project Engineer / Contractor for Sprint, (1998-1999)                                                   

Managed the design and pricing of budgeted projects for Sprint in Butler, PA. Utilized the      Customer Serving Area (CSA) plan. Adhered to  Sprint, NESC and PA DOT guidelines.

·             Designed upgrades to the network; (4) remote terminal (RT) placements                                                                                                                                      

·             Negotiated and secured right of way grants for (4) RT placements

·             Developed the CSA for each RT placement

·             Provided permit documents to state and municipal agencies

Project Manager / Contractor for Qwest Communications, (1996-1998)

Managed the design of several hundred miles of fiber placement for Qwest along Conrail right of way between Boston, MA and Cleveland, OH

·             Coordinated design crew work schedules with Conrail and submitted field surveys, on schedule to be drafted.

·             Monitored progress and reviewed drawings for adherence to specifications; then implemented changes as needed for this fast paced project.

·             Successfully served as “point of contact” to resolve or avoid any roadblocks with the customer, the railroad, other utilities or public agencies.
